A T. rex Named Sue
SUE
Sue - a 42 ft. long, 13 ft. high, 90 % complete, $8.4 million dinosaur from the Cretaceous period. This replica cast of Sue visited us from the Field Museum, Chicago and was sponsored by McDonalds. There were seven additional Sue related exhibits. Several were reading boards with factual information about Sue and her surroundings. Others were interactive exhibits, engaging visitors to see the world through the eyes of a dinosaur.

Visitors proceeding up the ramps to the balcony level exhibits saw another dinosaur. The 25 ft long Torvosaurus. This creature lived during the Jurassic period and like Sue was a carnivore. There they also found an additional 50 dinosaur skulls covering several time periods, a large fossilized ischium of a Supersaurus, and a full sized 35 ft. fossil cast of a Saurophaganax standing over everything in the exhibit hall. Additionally, a 14 ft. long Stegosaurus awaited the eye along with countless skulls, bones and dioramas of the several dinosaur periods.
