The Idaho Falls Chukars, Short Season A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals, have been playing Minor League Professional Baseball for over 60 years.
Most notable in recent years is that we have been proud champions of the Pioneer League in 1998 and again in 2000.
The Chukars have fielded such stars as Frank Tanana, Jose Canseco, Billy Martin, and more recently, current pitching star Matt Clement.
We have been equally as successful off the field as we have set franchise attendance records the past 3 out of 4 seasons,
averaging around 1,800 fans per game over a 38 home game schedule. In addition to hosting over 64,000 Chukars fans annually,
Melaleuca Field is also the home park for over 50 high school games and over 50 American Legion games each year.
